Everything I make could fit inside of a suitcase. I have three major categories at the moment: Chicklets (watercolor and sometimes gold leaf on wood), Cat drawings (surreal landscapes exploring color and space) and Wood People (small carved figures loosely inspired by Kokeshi dolls). The chicklets are tiny- the smallest are inch thick ends of 2x4 boards and the larger ones are double that. The scale helps me condense these individual scenes and stories to a moment, a memory or a dream flicker. The gold leaf flattens the space and makes a tiny object luxe and sacred.
